Rethink The Way You Drink

Sep 9, 2022

While we could write about how we all need to drink more water (because it’s probably true)—water is, frankly, a little boring. This is why we are completely head-over-heels for our house-made and sugar-free drinks. Our teas, juices, and lemonades feature unique and exciting flavor combinations. Whether you like your beverages fruity, tangy, herbaceous, or floral—our selection has you covered!

There is no shortage of occasions to enjoy a cool, refreshing, flavorful beverage. They’re perfect for sipping while chatting with friends, for replenishing electrolytes after a workout, or as the final course to a nourishing meal.

The Drinks You’re Used To

Unfortunately, most flavored beverages served on the typical soft drink fountain are brimming with unrefined sugars. The most mainstream and widely available soft drinks in the United States contain 39-50 grams of sugar per 12 ounce serving. To put this into context, the American Heart Association recommends a maximum daily sugar intake of 38 grams for males and 25 grams for females. This means that, depending on the person, just one can of soda fulfills 100-200% of the recommended daily intake.

We have found that fruit and other sugar-free sweetners can provide all the flavor needed to craft a perfectly sweet and vibrant beverage. Compare the ingredient list for one of the top-selling lemonades in the US with the ingredient list for our cucumber mint lemonade:

Aside from the natural sweetness from fruits and herbs we flavor our drinks with, we love using stevia to put our concoctions over the top. Stevia is completely natural, contains 0 calories, and is derived from leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant. Stevia is much sweeter than regular table sugar, so it only takes a small amount to achieve the perfect balance of sweetness in our drinks.

The Drinks You Deserve

Our standards for the ingredients in our drinks are high, but that doesn’t mean we compromise on flavor. Take a look at the lineup of housemade beverages available at each of our locations:

Pineapple Ginger Juice

Tangy pineapple and a slight bite from the ginger make for an exciting combination in this juicy concoction. You may be surprised to see that this drink has a bright green hue as well. This color is achieved with a bit of spirulina powder—a great source of essential vitamins.

Hibiscus Raspberry Tea

Aside from imparting a succulent, floral flavor, hibiscus tea is a great resource for lowering blood pressure—one of the leading causes of death in the US. We use raspberry in this beverage as well for a fruity contrast to the floral essence that the hibiscus provides. This beverage is so flavorful on its own that we don’t feel the need to add any sweeteners.

Camomile Tea

Similar to hibiscus, camomile tea has anti-inflammatory properties as well—a very popular treatment for cramping and other discomforts. We pair ours with ginger to complement the subtlety of camomile, and introduce some extra vitamins to the mix. Just like our hibiscus tea, there is no added sweetener!

Strawberry Lemonade

We’ve all had strawberry lemonade before, but ours is special. Most lemonades are loaded with sugar, but we’ve found that a bit of stevia is more than enough to sweeten things up. Stevia really allows the pure flavors of lemons and strawberries to shine through.

Cucumber Mint Lemonade

You saw our intentionally minimal ingredient list for this beverage above. We’ve cooled down this variation on a classic lemonade with fresh cucumber and mint leaves. Sweetened with stevia, we think we’ve achieved the perfect combination of sweet, tangy, cooling, and fresh.
